Questions we are asked before the first order
Frequently asked questions
Every answer carries the figure it is about. Where we do not have the number yet, the question is not on the page.
What is the minimum order quantity?
- 350 pieces for a first order, in one colour — and you may split that colour across sizes, because it is the dye lot that sets the floor, not the pattern. Every further colour is its own dye lot and its own 350 pieces, so two colours is twice the quantity. A custom Pantone is no different, it just adds cost and two weeks. Repeat orders run to the same 350.
How much does a sample cost and how long does it take?
- €180 for the sample pack, credited against your first order. It ships 14 days after payment and carries three weights and the colour card, so you feel the fabric before you commit to 350 pieces.
How long is production and shipping?
- 6 weeks of production once you approve the sample, then 7 days of road freight into Germany. Repeat orders run 4 weeks, because the pattern, the elastic and the dye lot are already set.
Do I pay customs duty importing from Turkey to the EU?
- No. Turkey and the EU are in a customs union, so textiles enter at 0 % duty against an A.TR certificate, which we issue with every shipment. Import VAT still applies at your own rate, 19 % in Germany, and you reclaim it if you are VAT-registered. Switzerland, Norway and the UK sit outside that union and travel on a EUR.1 instead, also at 0 %.
Which certifications do you hold?
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for the fabric and amfori BSCI for the factory's social audit. The certificate numbers and the date of the last audit go out with the first written quote rather than being printed here, so what you get is always the current one.
Can I use my own label and packaging?
- Yes. Nothing we ship says Oder on it. A woven brand label is €0.04 a piece from 500 pieces, and the printed care label with fibre content and washing symbols is included in the price. Packaging is a polybag, an insert card, a belly band or a kraft box; the printed options start at 500 pieces.
Can you supply plain, with no branding at all?
- Yes, and it is what you get unless you ask for more. Nothing we ship carries our name — no woven label, no printed insert, no branded bag. The one thing that stays on the piece is the printed care label: EU law requires the fibre composition on it, and size and washing symbols go on it too because every buyer expects them. It is included in the price, not charged separately. A woven brand label is €0.04 a piece from 500 pieces per design, and it is an option, never a condition. Resellers and gift-box brands usually take exactly this — plain goods in a polybag, to go straight into their own packaging.
What sizes do you produce?
- Cot fitted sheets in 60 × 120 and 70 × 140, a 40 × 90 for side-sleepers, 120 × 120 swaddles, and hooded towels in 80 × 80 and 100 × 100. Adult fitted sheets run 90 × 200 to 200 × 220 and are quoted per size. The list changes by market: the UK asks for 135 × 190, Spain for 105 × 190, Sweden for 80 × 200. Baby bathrobes are quoted per size.
